Race against or with the machines? Terence Lyons @ TEDx UWCSEAEast

Are we competing with machines? Are the machines winning against humans or is that the wrong question to ask? In this insightful talk, Terence draws upon different schools of thought, focuses on the role of artificial intelligence, and considers what a world where machines work with humans. As the CEO of The Stakeholder Company, Terence Lyons is pioneering the use of big data intelligence systems to manage complex business issues and opportunities such as fracking in the UK, drilling in the Arctic, mega-projects from Papua New Guinea to Qatar, or market entry into Myanmar or Iran. Terence previously headed Microsoft’s global public affairs strategy and is admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
